Secondary 3 Adventure Camp: From Boys To Men.

On Monday, 24th of February 2011, the Secondary Three students along with our form teachers went for the adventure camp. The camp is compulsory for every secondary students. I am now writing this essay to tell you my experience during the camp.

First of all, I thought that the camp would be complete rubbish, just like any other ordinary school camps. The camp was compulsory, and even though I was sick, I forced myself out from home to school for the camp for the sake of it.

Upon arrival, we had a small assembly and had our instructors assigned to our classses. After the assembly, we all had to set up our tents. It seemed difficult but in the end we perservered and finally built them.

We then had our lunch, which was quite disappointing, since the food they gave us were just worth only about two dollars. After that, we had our first team bonding activity in the camp. We were supposed to find the items that the instructors gave us on a list.

We had a lot of fun catching insects and frogs too. We had other activities too, but we all wished that it could pass faster, so that we may take a break. Most of the activities we did required a lot of teamwork and trust.

We had doubts in our friends not being able to assist us in our activities, but it turned out that they were always there to help us out of trouble in any way. Trust is very important when it comes to group work or group activities.

Without trust, there would not be a proper group performing well together. The same goes for teamwork. Without teamwork, there would also be fights and problems among every group. Without teamwork, everyone would not have a common goal to work towards to.

After three days and two nights, it was time to say goodbye to our instructors. We left the camp cheering for our instructors. Even at the end of the camp, we still had the camping spirit with us for the entire week.
