sec three camp-boys of wisdom and stature done by ong yeow loong

On 24^th February 2011, Monday, my school’s entire secondary three cohort attended their sec 3 camp. This camp is held once every year. Today, I am writing this essay to tell you my experience and what I learn from the camp.

There were many activities planned for us by the camp organizers. There were activities such as outdoor cooking and nature rumble. There were many other activities planned for us and every activity was carried out successfully.

All of the activities involved teamwork. By participating every activity wholeheartedly, I learnt many things about team work, and i feel that a new bond is formed between me and my classmates throughout the camp.

On the first day, the first activity we did was to pitch our tents. Followed by lunch and other activities that were planned for us. After sunset, we went back to the lodge that we were allocated to at the start of the camp to have our dinner. After dinner we did the Blind Man’s Trail. After that activity, we had our supper , bathing time then time for us to have our sleep after a long day.

On the second day, the fist activity we had was our morning stretch followed by our breakfast. Me and my classmates were excited for the second day as the activities planned for us on the second day were all the ‘’main attractions’’ of all the activities. But to me the Nature Rumble was the most fun out ofall the activities. We had to walk through a swamp but thing that made the activity fun was the rain. During our Nature Rumble, it rained halfway. The water level of the swamp rised to our chest level!

On the third day, it was time for us to pack up our and disassemble our tents. On the first day of the camp, I wanted to go home very badly, But on the third day, I did not wanted to go home!  On 11.30 am, we went to respective buses and were driven back to school. After a 1 hour ride, we finally reached school.  When I reached school, I missed those times I had during the camp! Of all the camps i've been to, sec three camp is the best!
